This one's for Bobette!

So, my friend Bobette is an avid scrapbooker, we get together all the time to scrapbook. She's always avoided having scrapbook night at her house, well I was so tired of having it at my house that I told her we had to do it at hers. This is what I walked into! I think I even saw a few mouse tails.....yeah, we'll scrapbook at my house from now on!

34 days

Back in January, Kenyan and I made a paper chain to count down to his graduation day. After we finished it, we thought we should have waited a couple more months because it looked soooooooo long! Well, good news, it is shrinking and there are only 34 days left til graduation!

He got his graduation announcements in the mail yesterday and he was like a little kid on Christmas morning, but can you blame him?! He's been waiting for this day for so long.

I am so proud of him. He's been working 40+ hours a week while going to school full time. He's worked so hard to put himself through school and to get where he is. I can't wait to watch him finally get his diploma-he's earned it! Way to go babe! I love U!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I have to say that I am very proud of myself, after all my trips to the store the only Easter candy I bought was a 6-pack of the reeces peanut butter eggs! I've been trying to do better, but the hardest thing to resist was the Cadbury Mini Eggs. I love those!

However, that's not to say I haven't got my fair share of "junk food" this month. I ordered Girl Scout cookies: 4 boxes and then ended up getting 2 more, and Kenyan doesn't really like Girl Scout cookies, so they are all mine to eat! So if I have chocolate all over my face the next time you see me, you'll know why.

The Bionic Woman

So, I went to a new endocrinologist yesterday. (In easier terms-a doctor who will help me control my diabetes.) I was really excited to find a good doctor. She gave me a lot of information, then I talked to the dietician, and then I got hooked up to this machine, called the CGMS. It's a little bigger than my insulin pump, so I have that on one side and my pump on the other.

I have to keep it on for 3 days and input every blood sugar, every time I eat, every time I take insulin, and then log it down as well. I'm sure it will help me get tighter control after I see the results, but it is a pain! I went shopping yesterday (to Kenyan's dismay) and that was quite the experience trying to not get tangled up in everything that is attached to me!

Ethan's Cookie Monster Impersonation

Our birthday present was a hit with Ethan because he loves cookie monster! And he does a great impersonation of him too.

TMX Cookie Monster

This is my new favorite toy. We don't have one, but gave one to our nephew for his birthday. My favorite part is when he tries to get up and grunts and lays back down! It is hilarious.

Road Trip!

A couple weeks ago Kenyan and I took a road trip to Phoenix for our niece's baby blessing. We left a few days early and made a stop in Las Vegas first to visit with my family.
David and Heather let us crash at their place for a couple nights. We had fun hanging out with them and Brittany and Abell. We had a little Guitar Hero competition between the Sants and Smiths. For some odd reason, Brittany kicked our butts on the medium level, but I killed her (and Kenyan ) on the hard level. :) We had a lot of fun playing games and hanging out with them one night. It was fun to see Tyler and Jake too, they are getting so big! (I would post pictures, but we were fiddling around with our camera in Phoenix and lost all the pictures from Vegas!)
Kenyan and I went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. It was pretty cool, and I wish I had pictures to post because we pet a sting ray! It was slimy and squishy, but I did it! And then we watched them feed the sting rays that was pretty cool.
Then we made our way to Phoenix. Our new niece, Daphne Elizabeth, is adorable and is a cute little redhead. (See the pictures below.) Cory and Cherise also had a birthday party for Ethan while we were down there. And I think it's safe to say that the Tickle-me Cookie Monster is the new hot item. I want one! When Kenyan and I first saw it in the store we were laughing so hard!
We had a lot of fun with the Phoenix clan-playing at the park, racing the boats and trying to get a cactus to jump at us. (Supposedly there really are cactuses that jump once their little prongs fall on the ground.) The weather was beautiful and we had our first BBQ of the year-can't wait for that here!
