Chex Mix

I was just introduced to my new favorite snack, so I thought I'd share so you could all enjoy it too (if you haven't already tried it). . . . .Limited Edition Chex Mix: Cocoa. It is so yummy! And it comes with tiny marshmallows inside too-yum! But, they only have it out at this time of the year, and so far I've only seen it at the Walmart on 56th and 6200 S. So go try it and tell me what you think!

Christmas Shopping

So, Kenyan and I usually go shopping the day after Thanksgiving-just because, you know, who doesn't want to be a part of the craziness?! But, since I was sick all week long (which, I am feeling better now-thank you everyone!) we didn't go shopping on Black Friday. I have to say I was a little bummed that we didn't go this year, but at the same time, I was ok with missing all the insane people at there. Seriously, people get a little fiesty! Isn't Christmas supposed to be about giving? And all people care about on Black Friday is grabbing. Anyway, to get off my soap box, Kenyan went to Walmart to get some food for breakfast (it was around 9am) and I told him to take the Circuit City ad with him to see if he could find Mario Galaxy at Walmart to match the price. Guess what-he found it! There weren't any left on the shelf, but he asked one of the kind Walmart associates and he said he thought he had seen one in one of the baskets full of stuff to be put back on the shelf....sure enough Kenyan found it. Kenyan's new favorite game-Mario Galaxy. He keeps telling me I need to play it, but I just watch him and get dizzy, I don't need to get sick all over again! Then I was able to get the dvd player we wanted on the Circuit City website-who needs the crazy crowds of Black Friday when you can sit at home and buy everything online!
Finally I have to apologize for no pictures lately....we got a new digital camera, but it is wrapped up and under the Christmas tree-so no pictures until Christmas-but just wait, they'll be good ones. :)

Unbelievable timing

Apparently I can always find the most opportune times to get sick. You know, like the night of my reception and now Thanksgiving Day. Of all the days to get sick-the day with all the yummy food! It all started to hit me Tuesday night, thought I was good on Wednesday, went to school and then started not feeling well. (Thank goodness for Thanksgiving activities to keep my students busy.) Kenyan and I were supposed to go see "Enchanted" with friends last night, but thanks to my 102 temperature, we stayed home. (By the way....they said the movie was so good!) So, I was thinking I might be better today and would be able to go to Thanksgiving dinner with my family, but to no avail-temperature was still at 102. Kenyan has been taking good care of me, but our first Thanksgiving together has not been the greatest-he had to work and I was sick. What do you do?

And the winner is.....

For those of you who care or took the time to take my little "Favorite Office Character" poll....the winner is Jim! It was getting close between Jim and Dwight. I will admit, I love Dwight, but I love all the faces Jim makes towards the camera, even when the focus is not on him.
And speaking of the office, I saw the coolest Dwight, bobblehead costume on the KSL classifieds today-it looked just like him! Would have been a great costume if it wasn't already sold, sad day.

We are Guitar Heros!

Kenyan patiently waited all day yesterday until midnight when he could finally buy Guitar Hero III. He came home and played for about half an hour and then went to bed. So by this time it was around 1 am and Kenyan had to be up for work in about 3 hours.
Well, I wasn't as excited for the game as Kenyan was because I got Dance Dance Revolution since he got Guitar Hero, but I had the time of my life this morning rocking out by myself while Kenyan was at work. Granted, I'm only on the "Easy" level, but my career is booming! Kenyan was a little jealous that I was playing while he was working-not to worry, Kenyan's rock star career is also on its way.
So now I am a dance, dance rockin' star!

OOOOOOOO-klahoma

I just went to Oklahoma to visit my brother (Doug), sister-in-law (LuAnn) and their two kids. It was a quick, but fun, trip. Their house is beautiful and I wish Utah had affordable houses like that! Lol.
I had a lot of fun being able to visit with them. They took me to the Cheesecake Factory and I got my first taste of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake-Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough! Wow, it was very rich-make sure you have a glass of milk with you! (On a side note, for you Utahns.....our Cheesecake Factory opens up next month in the Fashion Place Mall parking lot!)
I can't believe how big my neice (Layla) and my nephew (Dillon) are getting. I got to watch Dillon at hockey practice. He was so cute all dressed in his hockey gear and skating around on the iced. He definately had the hockey stance down! He and the other kids his age were so fun to watch. Dillon got tired by the end of a practice, but for a 5-year old he hung in there pretty well.
Layla is a princess. She loves to dress up and do anything that has to do with princesses. She would always "make" me hot chocolate (Or as she says....."hot coclate.") And then I go to "drink" it and she says, "No, it's hot!" So I proceed to blow on it to cool it off and then she says, "Ok, it's warm now."
Doug has trained Layla well-she is the newest roller coaster fanatic. Doug and Lu took me to a restaurant called Pops on Route 66 because they are trying to revitalize Route 66. It is a little convenience store and a restaurant. They have all kinds of soda pop you can get in there. It was a cute place. Anyway.....after leaving we went to see the Round Barn-yes, it was really round and made out of wood. Back to Layla....we went driving to a pumpkin patch and we start going down a hill and Layla yells, "Put your hands up!" And this is how they drive around a lot of the time-Doug and Lu in the front and Dillon and Layla with their arms up in the big pretending they are on a roller coaster.
So that is pretty much the gist of the trip-and playing games at their house-"Ratatouille" is one of my new favorite games by the way. Oh, and I was excited to find out that Gummi Bears is now on dvd because Doug had the first season! Wish I could have some of that gummi berry juice!

It worked!

It took some time, but I got some pictures up. The pics may be a little out of order, but you get the idea. :) Now that I've finally figured out how to do this there will be more pics coming soon. :)
(If the slide show doesn't come up very large, because sometimes it does for me and sometimes it doesn't.....just click on it to see the larger pics.)

Our Wedding Day

Well, just in case you still can't believe it actually happened, I am posting pictures to prove we really did get married. It was a beautiful day and we are greatful for those of you that were there to share it with us. The day was all that I could have imagined it to be. . .well until that night anyway. For those of you I haven't talked to or weren't there, I got sick right before the reception. I don't know what hit me, but whatever it was made me miss half my reception! Poor Kenyan was holding up the fort without a wife. Thanks to Jenny and Lauren being my support group I was able to feel slightly better towards the end of the evening. (Hopefully I can be technologically smart and get these pictures to work.)
